The Zoho CRM AI Assistant drafts a lead from the web page, profile or email you are viewing in Chrome, or from a business card photo you attach. It checks for an existing lead or contact first, and creates the lead once you approve.
Zoho CRM AI Assistant is a Chrome extension that opens beside Zoho CRM. Tell it what you want to do in plain language, and it works with your CRM for you. Try Plus free for 14 days, then stay on Free forever.
the problem
You find a prospect on their company site, or a card from yesterday's event is on your desk. Adding them means switching tabs, copying the name, company, email and phone one field at a time, and hoping nobody added the same person last week.
the solution
Open the page in Chrome, click Use this page in the side panel, and ask:
Create a lead from this page. Check first that no lead or contact has the same email.
For a business card, attach the photo instead and ask the same. It reads the text it was given and drafts a lead with the fields it found, such as First Name, Last Name, Company, Email, Phone and Website. A job title goes into Description unless you name the field to use.
Before you approve, it searches Leads and Contacts for the same email and tells you if it found one. You can correct any field in the draft. Only then does it create the lead.
It reads only the page you share or the file you attach. It does not visit other sites, follow links or look the person up elsewhere. The page is read when you click Use this page. The assistant can also ask to read it: in the default mode you choose whether it may, and only in Full access does it read the page without asking.

Every new account gets 14 days of Plus free — no card, nothing to claim — and then settles onto Free, which is permanent. In the side panel every plan has the same safety controls and supported actions, and they differ in how much you can ask for each week. The MCP connector is included in every paid plan (Plus, Pro and Max) and in the 14-day Plus trial, with the same 10,000 tool calls a month on each.

questions
No. It creates one lead after you approve the draft. If it finds an existing lead or contact, it tells you and does not edit it.
Only what you give it: the text of the page you are viewing when you click Use this page, or a file you attach (PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF for a card photo). It does not browse, open other pages or search the web.
It reads the text of the page you share, so a profile page or an email open in the browser works the same way as a company site. Check the draft against the page. Use it only where your company and the site's terms allow.
Yes. It can misread a photo of a card, put a name in the wrong field or pick the wrong email when a page lists several. Check each field in the draft before you approve. Its duplicate check looks at what exists when you ask; it is not a lock.
Yes, if you say so: "set Lead Source to Trade show and tag it Event". It sets only the values you name.
It needs a Zoho CRM edition and user profile with API access, and it can only do what your profile is allowed to do. This use case has not been checked edition by edition yet, so write to us if you want to check yours first.
